Dave Mesford, known as Dave Damit, was a passionate cannabis activist, cultivator, and breeder who made a lasting impact on his community. He was widely respected for his generosity, kindness, and his energetic spirit, which shone through not only in his contributions to organizations like Seattle Hempfest Core and as a founder of CannaCon, but also in his simple acts of sharing his famous pecan and strawberry rhubarb pies. Dave’s commitment to helping people and animals—along with his warm, recognizable persona—made him a cherished friend, advocate, and family man until his peaceful passing at home on April 20, 2024.
